In an alternative universe of 1832, against the background of a great house of Sir Willoughby, a distant, cruel cousin makes the young heroines go through abusive hardships and fearful tears are wept on the way, until the situation radically changes and comforting words and plucky, adventurous actions take us through to the very end.
