In my high school days in South Korea, I bought New Adventures in Hi-Fi in cassette format at a small record shop near the school and avidly started listening to the album, mostly made based on tour gigs. The first track, How the West was won and where it got us, feels like slow motion most of the time, as if its colour is earth-brown like the grounds of big gardens. Overall, the calm, soft, flowing and contemplating rock tracks roll in tandem with wild repetition of regular, yet varying beat. The whispering vocal tastes like it's drawn out long, but so nicely done.
