Led Zeppelin's works are as marvellous and fantastic as Gandalf's little smoke rings. In high school I avidly listened to, and was entranced by, their albums 1 to 4 plus Physical Graffiti, but the moving, viking-reminding Immigrant Song is left as the best track in my heart. (Did the real vikings come to Britain singing to something like this tune!) Now famous inspirational guitar and voice aside, their robust, occasional drums contribute much without banging out aloud all the time. To me, listening to their albums feels like climbing up a steep hill and ending up staying healthy and hearty. I was beginning to appreciate Pink Floyd at the same time as well, but that was through the Animals album so they couldn't beat Led Zeppelin for cheeriness.
