Keeping in mind that we are still in mourning, as this is the stand-out track from his final album made before his tragic death, more than 5 years ago on the hospital bed, South Korea’s late musician Shin Hae Chul’s Give me only one promise features desperate pop sensibility and Shin’s crooning rock ballad voice. It is addressed to his wife, the lyrics worrying about her health and sadly yet sweetly reaffirming his dedication to her and their love. "Don't be sick, that I cannot do instead of you," his lyrics resonate. For years he culminated in appearing on the mainstream media showing not only his occasional sparkling music side, but also more of his outspoken public personality. The track's originating album is called REBOOT MYSELF Part. 1, Shin having named thus his project from Oct. 2014 which was his 6^th solo, and last, effort.
