Six Korean items for people who are by any chance having an impending ZOOM wedding
I got the inspiration for this piece from my younger bro, who got married in the Coronavirus period in Chicago. Having borrowed the costumes, they used ZOOM to show their wedding at home to audience in Korea and the US. I remember thinking, "why don't I do the same at my wedding and don't necessarily use any wedding planner's advice?" Here's the resulting article.
1 Rice cake with flowers
We in Korea have a stable alternative to ordinary cakes. My instagram acquaintance makes "rice cakes with bean paste flowers" and she does wedding cakes, priced from KRW60000 in a layer to KRW175000 in 2 layers.
2 The nuptial song
You could call up a violinist, who can carry around her instrument. Ask at a orchestra local or in the nearby city.
3 Lighting and Camera
Search for suitable photographers in magazines such as WEDDING, although when I get married, I myself plan to contact my relative who takes photos of babies at a studio for a baby magazine. Using her skills, she will be able to put the wedding in perspective.
4 Flowery decoration
Take a few ribbons and flowers to adorn the wall and the furniture. Consult local flower shop.
5 For your make-up
Head over to the nearest Olive Young or DAISO and pick up a range of customized cosmetics.
6 Honeymoon at a comfy hotel
Staycation is the word nowadays for comfy accommodation. After having a short and memorable ZOOM wedding, you can go to a hotel you both like and spend a few days there using its swimming pool, excellent breakfast buffet and barbecue facilities for afternoon.
