BoA has been working in entertainment in, to a large extent, Japan and on lesser turns, in her original home South Korea. Her Korean surname is Kwon which against the name BoA sounds young and refreshing, her having been born in the yet fruity year of 1986. Coming from South Korea’s SM Entertainment she started her career by singing No. 1 in 2002 and Atlantis Girl in 2003 for fans in South Korea, and went on to debut in Japan to totally rise in popularity.
